When Businesses Shine

When the customer comes first, the customer will last. – Robert Half

This may seem minor, but in my world today, this was a great day.

As a female, I am always apprehensive about taking my vehicle in to have work done.  Stereo-typically, I know nothing about cars.  I know how to drive them, put gas in them, fill up the windshield fluid if needed and if push came to shove, I could probably put air in the tires.  Anything above that, I take it in, I have AMA or my husband takes over.  The last little bit, my husband has been quite busy outside of the home, so today I took it in to get new tires put on and to get an oil change at a different location.

I was prepared to be asked questions I did not know the answers to, so I braced myself.  I am so happy to report that did not happen today.  Both places I went to today were locally owned businesses and the employees were extremely helpful, friendly, and in my mind, went above and beyond what I was looking for.  They were able to solve two other problems that I was not anticipating dealing with today.  In addition to all of that, the prices at both locations were less than I had expected to pay.  Win win.

As a female with a visible disability, this was a fantastic day for me in the world.  I don’t know if being female with physical limitations is why they went above and beyond, but I don’t even care.  All in all, a big shout out to OK Tire and Econo Lube in Spruce Grove for giving me such a pleasant experience all around.
